Our Local Policing Superintendent, Steve Flavell is reaching out those who live in or visit Warwickshire ahead of a particularly busy time of year for everyone.
We are part of the Winter of Action initiative, which means increased patrols, targeted operations and working with our partners to tackle a host of crimes making sure our high streets remain safe for shoppers, workers as well as those important Christmas nights out.
Supt Flavell, force lead for the Winter of Action: “We want Warwickshire to be a safe and welcoming place for everyone and the next few weeks are no exception.
“Our Winter of Action activity continues the work to improve the issues in our towns that can have a negative impact on how people feel. This includes knife crime, anti-social behaviour and retail crime. “We’ll have officers out and about across the county, so if you see them, say hello and if you’ve got any questions, just ask them! It’s a magical time of year and it’s important everyone feels they can enjoy themselves during the festive period and beyond.”
We’ll be posting regular Winter of Action updates on our social media channels so keep an eye out for the #SaferStreetsWinter hashtag!
